Chair's Annual Address

As we begin another exciting year for the IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter, I want to start by thanking each of you, our member companies for your unwavering commitment and support.

Your dedication is what makes this chapter not just a network, but a true cornerstone of excellence in our industry.

Reflecting on 2025

In 2025, our Chapter advanced several initiatives that underscored our shared priorities of Safety, Growth, and Collaboration:

Safety: Our growing workgroups developed and shared practical tools to strengthen the ever-evolving safety landscape.
Collaboration: Operators, contractors, and service companies came together to exchange best practices and drive alignment across the industry.
Sustainability and community Impact: Outreach initiatives showed that IADC SAPC is committed not only to operational excellence but also to making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
Mental Health & Well-Being: Through our newest workgroup, we are raising awareness that caring for the well-being of our people is just as essential as safeguarding their safety. SAPC is committed to fostering a culture where every individual feels supported, valued, and empowered to speak openly about mental health.

These achievements were not the result of individual effort – they were the product of collective leadership, collaboration, and a shared vision.

And yes, we also remembered to have fun along the way – promoting healthy work/life balance and celebrating our successes together. I look forward to seeing all of you at our signature golf event and the Safety Awards ceremony in 2026.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Our guiding principle for the year ahead is clear: Meet, Share, and Make a Difference.

This chapter exists to serve its members. Together, we must continue to work collectively to address the challenges that affect us all – whether it’s market volatility, the global energy transition, or the drive for cost efficiency. At the same time, we must seize the opportunities before us: digital transformation, automation, and advanced analytics are reshaping the energy landscape, and SAPC is uniquely positioned to lead.

By setting standards, sharing knowledge, and fostering collaboration, we can drive sustainable success for our industry. I encourage each of you to take an active role:
